Collected my Blackbird from storage in Staten Island, (New York), I started riding through the areas of Manhattan over Brooklyn Bridge and out over George Washington Bridge, what a site everything is so big, and the petrol is under a dollar a gallon this is the very start of my 32’000 mile journey around the world, what have I done? Can’t Wait…
7th August 2002, Next Stop. Buffalo, near Niagara Falls…
Passed through Niagara Falls, over the boarder into Canada, the riding was not what I expected. All interstate highway, straight and mostly flat, I thought that my tyres would have flat ares down the centre but as they was new it was a bit early to tell, (Bridgestone’s). The last bit was straight into the sun, my visor was covered with bugs galore, after hours of riding, I finally made it at about 8pm at the hotel for a well needed shower and food.
